As founder of Gentle Growth Therapeutic Services, I provide psychotherapy to adults and adolescents who are seeking to heal from the results of painful childhoods and current losses. It is important to me that people feel both understood by me, and that I am connected to them. We discuss ideas or questions about our work together, if needed. People with whom I work are concerned about stress, family problems, addiction, childhood abuse, divorce or domestic violence. I am most excited and enlivened when I witness people gain new understanding about their situations or find and use new personal strengths.
Often a person's body will reveal helpful information about how to approach challenges. I specialize in helping people heal by listening to and learning from their bodies. However, I always adapt my approach to the individual's preferences. The individual and I work together to choose our methods.
Training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, 12 Step and addiction treatments, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, body-oriented methods, and Psychodrama bolster my skills with clients. Many people have told me that I create a very comfortable place for them to explore new feelings and to grow parts of themselves.
