People are often motivated to come to therapy to deal with problems that range from depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, and loss. My work focuses on offering empowering support and tools that assist in searching to find meaning and purpose in these rough and unpredictable passages. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have provided counseling to individuals, and couples for the past twenty years. My work is informed by methods that are client-centered, respectful of the individual, and considered best practices.
The primary models I use are Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a model based on attachment theory and applicable to individuals, couples, and families; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), eye movement therapies effective in accessing and processing traumatic experiences.
It is my goal to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can express themselves, find solutions that are in alignment with the deepest part of their being, and discover their own full potential, wisdom, and sense of purpose and direction.
