Seeking therapy is often a reflection of significant discomfort in your life. Perhaps your emotions have become difficult to manage, or maybe you feel numb to them. You might feel stuck in your relationships or job, or perhaps you have experienced a significant event (positive or negative) and are having difficulty adjusting to or making sense of it. These are just a few of the many situations that therapy can help you navigate by taking a curious approach to your thoughts and feelings and deepening your understanding of yourself, your relationships, and your mind.
I work with my clients to explore their current and past situations and symptoms in order to find patterns in stressors, relationships, and ways of coping that may not always be useful. Together, we can better understand your true desires, as well as the fears and symptoms that stand between where you are now and a more fulfilling life.
I work primarily from a psychoanalytic perspective and tend to work with curious people interested in intensive treatment, who may not have not found success in previous treatment. My goal is sustained change that lasts well beyond our work together. I believe a good fit is crucial to the work, and I offer free phone consultations.
