I am currently a resident in counseling and I am accepting new clients in person and virtually. I work with individually with adults and adolescents and couples who have struggled with co-dependency, ADHD, depression, anxiety, work-life balance, couples, trauma, caregivers of and those on the autism spectrum, and first responders. Additionally, I am EMDR trained. I can also provide this for children who have experienced intense difficulty. As a military spouse of 12 years, I also work with military and their family members. I am someone who will go at your pace, show compassion, but gently challenge negative thoughts and behaviors.
I approach counseling with a multi-theoretical approach with person-centered counseling as the focus. This allows for a very in-depth and interpersonal experience. Other approaches include Emotion-Focused therapy, Relational, Adlerian Therapy, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Symbolic-Experiential Family Therapy, Gottman Method, DBT, and EMDR.
It's okay to be where you are - you're unsure where to begin. You're nervous to make the phone call. Starting therapy is a huge step and I am here to help you through this. We will approach your healing at your own pace. Wounds heal from the inside out - and sometimes those wounds are painful. You're not alone. Let's do this together.
