Welcome to my practice. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist who focuses on my clients’ feelings, thoughts, and behaviors within a warm, accepting, safe environment. I treat individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, as well as life transitions, and relationship issues. I believe that change occurs when you are able to talk through your struggles with an empathetic listener and work together to reach your goals. Whether you are new to therapy or are returning, I am here whenever you wish to reach out.
I believe people come to therapy because they are overwhelmed and have exhausted all their coping strategies. My job is to help you find new solutions that are within yourself. I do this by creating a space in which you can share anything you like, and where, with my overview and feedback, we can increase your awareness.
I am mindful that despite common struggles, each client brings a unique personality and set of experiences to the therapy space. I have found that feeling depressed, anxious, and stuck are common reactions to very individual problems.
