I am deeply committed to supporting people around healing from experiences that have affected their ability to live the kind of life that they desire. A life that is free from deep emotional pain, and that allows them to be open to new and satisfying experiences. Therapy with me begins with establishing a safe and trusting relationship which becomes the context in which we can explore and modify those parts of your experience that interfere with optimal functioning and which block your ability to feel deeply satisfied with your life.
In my work with clients, I draw upon my personal values of respect and compassion, and I see the work as a collaboration that utilizes your existing strengths, my education and training, and the healing power of the therapeutic relationship as the essential tools in accomplishing your goals.
I am trained in EMDR, a highly-effective treatment for the lasting effects of traumatic experience, such as emotional, physical, and/or sexual abuse, crime victimization, relational trauma, and much more. I also work with people who live in large (fat) bodies to address the negative impact of size prejudice and to support them in healing and living well.

In addition to developing and honing your existing skills, the group will also provide opportunities to conceptualize and reflect on your work through multiple lenses, including Feminist Theory and various theories of social justice.
