Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW-R
I work with both individuals and couples, often those involved in the arts, but whether or not you call yourself an artist, the focus of work will be on how to bring more of your full self to a creative interaction with the world. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, or unsure of how to move forward in your life. My job is to help you pay attention to your own desires, to find your way through the confusion of other peoples expectations, and begin acting creatively on what you discover. New healthier choices begin the process of positive change.
With a background in the arts, I specialize in helping creative and performing artists deal with the obstacles that arise in doing their work.
I'm a supervisor and faculty member of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center, and have taught Introduction to Object Relations. In addition, I'm on the faculty of the Institute for Expressive Analysis, and have taught the course Reading Winnicott.
