I believe therapy is a collaborative effort for healing, and I seek to build an authentic relationship with my clients. I’m dedicated to empowering people to learn how to live by their values instead of feeling like their emotions and thoughts control or overwhelm their lives. In the midst of all the pain, there’s a way to feel grounded and connected. The work we do together will likely be challenging and it’s also an opportunity to create real, lasting change. If you're suffering from self harm, including cutting, bingeing, restriction, purging, or have OCD, my targeted approach is highly effective when you engage in the process.
For self harm and trauma, I practice a blend of ACT and DBT. ACT gives you a superpower of psychological flexibility to be able to form a different relationship with your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to have freedom from harmful behaviors. DBT provides the behavioral structure to do this. For OCD, I use a blend of ERP and I-CBT.
Seeking a therapist can be difficult and reaching out can feel like a scary leap. Taking those steps are also the things that can transform your life. I look forward to talking with you and answering your questions if you're interested in learning more.
