I work in private practice with individuals and couples who seek to improve their emotional wellbeing and quality of life. My specialties include include treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self esteem, substance abuse, and couples work. I practice through a relational, psychodynamic, collaborative approach with clients in my office on the Upper West Side of NYC. I charge on a sliding scale and am flexible with fee based on the individual financial needs of my clients. I am open to working through facetime/google chat/skype sessions.
Deepening my skills to benefit my patients is vital to me. I have two masters degrees, one in Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counseling and one in Social Work. I've conducted research and published at Yale University. I have couples training in Emotion Focussed Therapy and the Gottman Method. I am currently in training to become a licensed psychoanalyst.
Many circumstances can make traveling to a therapist's office difficult or even possible (ie. childcare, health issues, work, transportation, college, or travel). I am aware of these obstacles and therefore open to providing therapy over the internet if need be.
