Hi, my name is Lina. I am a queer, latine(x), white, femme therapist offering support in the greater Seattle area. I specialize in supporting children, teens, and young adults with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and attachment challenges, especially folks who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working with a wide range of clients from children with FASD, young adults working through childhood trauma, and teenagers coming out as trans. Each one of us has a unique set of needs, so I am here to meet you where you are and walk with you at your pace.

My aim is to help those clients who want to use therapy for insight, self-exploration, healing and personal growth. My theoretical approach is holistic and relational, which means - together, we can explore the ways in which your personal history and learned habits may still be influencing your emotions, coping patterns and behaviors -- ultimately affecting your sense of self. Together we’ll sort out your feelings so that you can more fluidly access your innate capacity for compassionate self-care. I encourage a mindfulness focus to engage your “in-the-moment” experience. I work with adults 18 years and older and focus on issues of depression, self-worth, identity, anxiety, and perinatal & parenting concerns. I am able to hear people's struggles and stories and work collaboratively to build and strengthen coping skills that work. That might mean using DBT, EMDR, or a combination of several therapeutic tools. I am comfortable working cross culturally and enjoy working with a wide variety of people with different backgrounds, ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, and immigrant experiences. I am a Licensed Marriage and family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
