I spend time getting to know each of my clients, so that I can tailor a healing plan, specifically for them, and make sure my clients are get the most impact from our sessions together. Life is hard. Sometimes life is harder than what we’re equipped for. When that happens, seeking help can be daunting, and finding a therapist who’s a good fit even harder. While I can’t magically make everything better or brighter, I will sit in and walk through the darkness with you until we make it to the light. I have experience working with individuals who are dealing with trauma, depression, self-harm, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and identity crisis. My areas of particular focus are sexual trauma, emotional abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, attachment issues, depression, PTSD, and those dark night-of-the-soul times.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and currently pursuing a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health with a specialization in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. I specialize in trauma treatment with children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a variety of techniques and theoretical orientations, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), child centered play therapy (CCPT), sand tray therapy, and a variety of evidenced based approaches.
