I do counseling with youth (12+ years old) who are struggling because of past/current trauma, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts or attempts, bullying, substance abuse or dependence, self-harm, family problems, LGBTQ issues, and clients who are adopted or help educate potential adoptive parents about the issues their adopted child will more than likely face. I'm also experienced in family therapy, helping parents/guardians and their kids learn how to better communicate. I have also worked with adolescents who have been in detention or on probation as well. My ideal client would be prepared to do the work necessary to heal.

As a Certified Sex Therapist, I have a strong passion for things related to intimacy and sex. Many who struggle with sexual issues have encountered things in life such as sexual, physical, or emotional abuse. Traumas such as these often lead to problems within the relationship, or sometimes even addiction; which can often times be sex or porn addiction. Working through the targeted trauma can be effective in dealing with relationship and addiction issues. As a clinician, I understand this is a difficult and emotional process, and I aim to have a professional and supportive rapport with each client.

I have extensive inpatient and outpatient experience in assisting adult and senior clients who have been diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, and personality disorders. I also assist clients who are in crisis and/or dealing with stress, sadness, worry, grief/loss, caregiver burden, and unhealthy habits and behaviors. I also provide services to couples and families geared toward helping them develop skills and insight that will increase communication and problem solving skills. I view therapy as a means to highlight healthy and unhealthy thoughts and behaviors while providing a direction for clear and lasting change.
