The relationship is critical. I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in women, girls, and queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender and nonbinary folks. I practice decolonizing and liberation focused therapy. My areas of focus include sexuality and trauma. I consider myself a client centered, relational, and culturally sensitive psychotherapist. I am board certified in teletherapy. I am licensed in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

My ideal therapy client wants to put in the work to explore themselves and be willing to take me along that journey with them. I'm here to listen, validate and challenge when needed. While my speciality is DBT, I also enjoy psychodynamic and person-centered approaches. I provide individual supervision for LCSW candidates as well. My ideal LSW supervisee is willing to be open and honest with themselves and with me as a newer social worker. I work with individuals and couples to create positive changes in their lives. This includes those struggling in areas such as self-esteem, intimacy, addressing emotional needs, healing from past hurts/trauma, a history of neglect or abuse, or challenges regarding gender and sexuality. I work with couples, straight/lesbian/gay, who are working on their relationship, whether as a result of an affair, or realizing differences that keep them from being close. My research focuses on men and the effects of expectations on men’s lives. Pursuing therapy represents a longing to heal. My work is about supporting that process.

I have been working in mental health for over 15 years providing psychotherapy, supportive counseling and grief counseling. I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, relational conflict, struggles in parenting, and attachment concerns. I have worked with clients around adoption and relational loss and am passionate about working with adults and teens experiencing intense emotions. I have a diverse background, having worked with children, adolescents, adults and whole families, survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and at-risk youth. I am a member of the ACA and the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling, and take special interest in supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Psychotherapy is my dream job. I typically see individuals struggling with relational issues whether it be family or significant other and mood disorders (depression/anxiety).
