While my speciality is DBT, I also enjoy psychodynamic and person-centered approaches. I provide individual supervision for LCSW candidates as well. My ideal LSW supervisee is willing to be open and honest with themselves and with me as a newer social worker. I believe that, in addition to my professional training, these multiple identities & life experiences have enabled me to understand & help a variety of therapy clients. My therapeutic style is collaborative, egalitarian, & non-judgmental. The most significant aspect of treatment is our relationship.

While my training in clinical psychology focused on making the right diagnosis and finding the right treatment, I also believe that, in most cases, the most essential and supportive element of psychotherapy is the therapeutic relationship itself, the success of which can depend on intangible qualities like warmth, trust, credibility, openness, rapport, alliance, and authenticity. I believe the process of building a successful therapeutic relationship requires the science of psychotherapy to give way to the art of being human, and so my approach to this process is unique to every individual, couple, and family I work with.

I believe each person has the power to expand their agency and live in more authenticity and alignment with their values. I work with individuals, couples, and families to build upon strengths and lean into growing edges, to find solutions to problems within ones relationship system that you may be struggling to see are there.

I am a member of the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities. I am committed to decreasing stigma around issues such as death and dying, gender and sexuality, and neurodivergency. Other issues include: anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), cancer or other life-altering illnesses, body image, compassion fatigue, caregiver fatigue, gender identity, sexuality, kink/sexual outsiders, polyamorous/open relationships, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

This is painful but will cause change. I’m going to ask you to share your story with me. But you don’t have to do it alone. I understand that our lives don't fit that traditional model and they don't have to which includes helping people through sex therapy. I have experience helping people work through their issues to find their authentic self and voice.
