Part of our work together will be unraveling this muscle memory to reveal how you can live a life that is true to you. YOU become the place of self-awareness, peaceful acceptance & intentional action. As a certified trauma professional & art therapist, I integrate these tools into our therapeutic work.

I began as a life coach and became a therapist in 2017 because I wanted to help people in a deeper way. I adjust to your pace: maybe you are coming in with a concern about something that happened recently and you just want another person's insight on it; or maybe you have past trauma that you'd like to finally unhook from. With deeper work, I like to get an idea of your whole picture -- emotionally, psychologically and spiritually -- so I can help you reach whatever goal or resolve whatever issue you come in with.

I approach therapy as a process of joining with my clients in dealing with difficult situations that they face. I will listen carefully and strive to provide an emotionally safe and nonjudgmental space to explore and work through your concerns. Experiencing a genuine connection in a relaxed atmosphere is an essential part of the therapy process. Whether you find yourself stuck in old patterns or life changes, I can provide support, discovery and insight that can help you move through painful issues to a life with more joy, meaning and peace.

I am thrilled to be able to offer counseling services to people that live in the West Michigan area. Although, I specialize in the treatment of children and adolescents, I also enjoy working with individuals and couples. If you are having difficulty with adjusting to new life circumstances, having relationship issues, or if you are a person that is living with a Mental Illness I am eager to help you work through your situation. More than 35 years of counseling experience have taught me that within each of us is an inherent drive toward emotional health.
