As an LCPC, Mediator, and Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years of experience, I focus on the resiliencies clients already possess and offer tools and interventions to help overcome barriers. Some areas I specialize in are anxiety, depression, trauma, major life events, and divorce and familial conflict. I have worked across different levels of care and understand the importance of a trusting, therapeutic relationship.

I provide positive and action oriented, directive therapy to help you through depression, anxiety, relationship,and school and work issues. Treatment is focused on achieving goals-emotional, spiritual and physical to live an abundant life. Life does not have to be hard! I am an advocate of positive psychology and the Law of Attraction--there is no upside to negativity, I help my clients get back on a positive path.

As a licensed clinician and the founder of PRP, I have spent the last 17 years studying evidence and science based approaches to psychotherapy and the treatment of emotional/psychological issues in some of the country's best universities, including Northwestern University and UW-Madison. Dr. Beltramo is a life-long native of the Chicago area. He earned his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a major in psychology. He went on to pursue his Masters and Doctoral degrees at Argosy University/Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Beltramo has worked in the behavioral health field in a variety of capacities since 1993, obtaining his doctoral degree in 2003. From multipally-diagnosed, residentially-placed adolescents to domestic violence offenders to private practice settings, the range of his experience is broad, varied, and comprehensive.

It is my goal to provide a safe and collaborative space where you can fully express your thoughts, feelings, doubts, and desires. I deeply respect all people and their unique identities and experiences. I listen carefully to make sure I fully understand and then work in partnership and support to develop goals and plans. It is my hope that everyone I meet with feels accepted and comfortable throughout our journey together.

Currently, there is no wait list for appointments. I am a clinical psychologist with a special area of interest and expertise in anxiety, trauma, anger and addictive behaviors. I specialize in guiding people through difficult past experiences, navigating current worries, and replacing unhealthy habits. My approach involves promoting recovery, facilitating emotional growth and building coping skills to gain renewed clarity and to take on life's challenges. Through the delivery of research-supported therapies, I focus on examining difficult thoughts/emotions, promoting self-compassion, and developing healthy and loving relationships.

When you or your child/teen is struggling, you want strategies to combat challenges NOW. At North Shore Family Services, we empower kids, teens, and adults to learn tools, so they can succeed independently. Our goal is for children, teens, adults, parents, and couples to learn skills to be successful with school, peers, work, and family- long after therapy ends. We assist with IEP and 504 plans to help our children/teen clients succeed where they spend most of their day- out of their parents' sight. Parents are our partners in helping kids and teens learn life skills.

I take an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy which is client centered and goal driven. I create a safe and non-judgmental space where we work together to solve problems, overcome obstacles, and facilitate personal and relational growth. I assess the biological, psychological and social aspects of a person, couple or family, using a balance of approaches that are attachment based and include insight-oriented and cognitive behavior therapies to treat depression/anxiety, grief, trauma, etc.

I believe everyone has an inherent capacity to change, find solutions, heal from pain, and create a purposeful life. Using a strengths based approach, I collaborate with clients to identify issues that are most troubling to them and tailor the clinical experience to best fit the clinical needs. I strive to a provide down to earth and accessible environment that will foster a confidential professional relationship, which in turn provides a solid foundation for personal growth.
