I am an attachment and trauma-informed therapist. Our first priority will be to establish trust, mutual respect, consistency, and predictability so that you begin to feel safe. We will help you discover your strengths and will create goals to help you become your "best self". I prefer to utilize a variety of approaches in therapy, including teaching about attachment and neuroscience, mindfulness, coping skills, and how the body and brain work together to process our emotions.

I commend you for contemplating this important step toward attending to your own wellbeing. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois with 10 years of experience. I would describe my approach as warm and compassionate, but I will also challenge you when needed. My ultimate goal is to help you gain the tools and insight to meet your goals. I meet my clients where they are and work collaboratively with them to develop a plan for getting them where they want to be. If you are suffering psychologically, emotionally, or relationally, therapy can be an excellent way to move toward greater wellness.

Maybe you have been to a therapist or two and haven't been able to dig as deep as you would like to go in order to move into your most authentic sense of being. Perhaps you struggle with a sense of purpose, self-esteem, have a sense of emptiness or loneliness, or are feeling confused about next steps. You will likely find me to be a good fit if you are looking to do much deeper work to finally resolve pain from the past as opposed to merely coping with it. Our work will be guided by a vision of long-term mental health, growing into authenticity, and creating a sense of emotional regulation that you may not have experienced yet.

I analyze a client and use the research and knowledge I have to apply the best theory or approach to help my client. I focus on what the client's goals are and how to help them reach them in healthy ways.

Counseling, or therapy, is considered a collaborative, cooperative, problem-solving process, actively involving both the client and counselor, to bring about emotional or behavioral change. Counseling is a proactive and healthy way to manage life stress, work through trauma, develop coping skills, improve behavior, communication and more. As a private practice counseling group, our goal is to help.

I help my clients reconnect with themselves and get back on track to where they want to be, both emotionally and physically. I have experience working with clients who have struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and sexuality. I focus on goals that my clients want to work towards.
