I believe therapy is a collaborative and creative endeavor, and provide a safe, supportive environment for you to explore your identity, relationships, history, and desired changes. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you create lasting changes, and am also influenced by Mindfulness, Narrative, Relational, and Systemic approaches to therapy. I am certified in the Triple P Positive Parenting Program and trained in Trauma-Focused CBT. I am also supportive and affirmative of clients of all sexual orientations and gender identifications, and can assist with issues such as coming out, homophobia, and LGBT relationship or parenting issues.

In my work with clients, I focus on mind-body-spirit reconnection when it has been disrupted by trauma or stress. I offer a soft space to land for children, individual adults and partners who have been in prolonged fight or flight post trauma exposure, as well as highly sensitive people who may be experiencing empathic stress. Here, I respect the unique language of your nervous system, the wisdom that lives in your body, and support you in fostering grounded connection to both. Together we'll utilize integrative modalities to process what is not you and create more space for what is, with a goal of inner clarity and embodied peace.

I am at Kindred Heart Therapy group to provide tele-health therapy to those who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. I like to provide a space for my clients that allows them to be honest and real with their thoughts and emotions. My goal is for you to reach your mental health goals. Sometimes ordinary psychotherapy just isn’t “it”. Most women entering my practice come due to persistent sexual and emotional problems that regular psychotherapy analyzed but did not effectively facilitate. Sometimes, “How does it make you feel?” Is too little and insufficient for change. You are left with an inventory of your issues and little change. My work is grounded in the belief & experience that we all have access to a deep well of unconscious wisdom, and that creative & imaginal processes are some of the most direct ways to contact it. To assist you in doing so, I use expressive arts, dreamwork, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), guided imagery & visualization, and other creative & imaginal approaches to enhance and deepen traditional talk therapy. As a client-centered therapist, I believe that you are the expert on your own healing. My job is to listen deeply and to put you in closer touch with your inner knowing so that you can arrive at your own answers.

Besides individual sessions, couples work sessions and Group Work, I also train clinicians in awareness based somatic psychotherapy. I also, hold two types of weekly groups that are ongoing, although they are open to new people from time time.
