My name is Carrie Allen (she/her), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016. Being a therapist is my first career, and I cannot see myself doing anything else. "Trauma is personal. It does not disappear if it is not validated. When it is ignored or invalidated, the silent screams continue internally," by Danielle Bernock. Trauma creates feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, of shame and guilt, and of being so lost in the darkness that it feels like there is no end and no way out. I work with you to find hope and self-compassion.

Most of my clients come to me at a point in their life where they no longer recognize themselves or their relationships. They've put much on the back-burner for so long that they loose their identity. They wake up to a life with little passion, little desire, and very little will. This issue is typically their subconscious letting them know that how they've been living is no longer conducive on their journey of growth and success. If you are having or have had this experience, then it is my goal to help you identify and remove those blocks to put you back on the course where you experience life and relationships to their fullest.

I have specialized training and education working with clinical trauma & crisis, military culture & family, telemental health, and compassion fatigue & burnout. I have been working in this field for over 15 years and still find the most rewarding work to be when I watch clients grow and develop into the person they want to become. However, it all begins with a strong, honest, open therapeutic relationship to create change and live more authentically. My expertise, experience, and competence allow me to help clients struggling with a variety of issues, such as trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, or OCD, and facilitate change.
