Whether it is feeling overwhelmed by the stressors of daily life, navigating illness or survivorship, grappling with sexuality or identity, or struggling with past trauma, anxiety shows up in many ways and robs individuals of their joy. My ideal client is looking for a space of connection and peace, so they can feel safe to do healing work.

Perhaps you’re down or anxious. Maybe you’re unsure about the future of a relationship or you feel as though you aren’t living the life you were meant to lead. Perhaps you’re thinking that something is getting in the way of your ability to function at work or other environments that are important to you. Life can be challenging – whether the challenges are sudden and unexpected or build up over the course of years. In sessions I promote behavioral transformation through collaborative efforts and solution-focused interventions to help you get back on track, identify and achieve your goals, and reach your greatest potential.

I offer Online Therapy. I have worked in community mental health centers, school counseling and private practice in California, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I provide a safe space to treat various issues for adults 18 and over via videoconference. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, yet incorporate other approaches depending on my clients needs. I view therapy as a collaborative experience with my clients whom I walk beside and support during our process together. I assist my clients to focus on their personal therapy goals and provide the tools and encouragement to facilitate positive change and personal empowerment.

Life can often be challenging. I am here to help those who are at a point in their life where something has to change and the willingness to make that change, whatever that might look like, is now present. I have 18 plus years experience working on an inpatient mental health setting assisting teens and their caregivers. Many of us are trying to manage depressive feelings, anxious thoughts, and relationship issues. Many of us long for more connection with the important people in our lives. Sadly, like a frustrating circle, lack of connection with others frequently leads to increased depression and anxiety, which in turn increases your sense of isolation. Bringing awareness and understanding to the emotions underneath your communication with others, as well as learning how to verbalize these emotions so others better understand your experience, can be helpful in decreasing these distressing symptoms.

I tend to think of therapy as an amazing opportunity to engage in a collaborative process that helps people to develop authentic, enlivened and creative relationships with themselves and others. I am interested in what moves people. What are the moments in their lives when they feel "lined up", fulfilled, attuned? My work focuses on cultivating healing and change in a safe and supportive environment. Compassion, empathy, and forgiveness toward one's self and toward others are important as we face the complexities and pain that life brings us and move toward a life well-lived.

My practice is currently full, but I'm happy to provide approximate wait time on openings. I have deep appreciation for the strength it takes to reach out for support when life becomes overwhelming, stressful or we find ourselves stuck.
