My style has been described as innovative yet practical. I work with clients to develop healthier ways of coping with life and creating more satisfying relationships. A non-judgmental, trusting therapeutic relationship is essential. Experiential learning and educational materials provide the basis for lasting change. Areas of skill building include, emotional regulation, grief relief, living with anxiety, depression, healing trauma. Relationship skills involve communication, conflict resolution, keeping love alive and refining commitment. Methods include Mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, body centered therapy and desensitization with EMDR (www.emdria.org). The work of therapy becomes the joy and satisfaction of living.
A holistic approach joins the wisdom of the body, insight and live interaction to create understanding, transform dysfunction, dis-ease and conflict into conscious compassionate living. Individuals find their true center from which they respond rather than react to life stresses while sustaining inner peace and creating loving relationships in their homes and work places.
The office includes mediation and counseling,as well as acupuncture, nutritional counseling, dance therapy, reiki, rolfing and massage. In my profession since 1986, I present workshops on "Peacemaking in the family" and "Creataive Alliance: Unblocking your Creativity", "Manifesting you Dreams thru Art & Movment"
