It has long been my view that the first step in healing and working through your issues is feeling understood. Once understanding has progressed, we can adopt a plan that takes you as a whole person into consideration. I believe that different approaches work for different people and don't believe "in a one size fits all" or a "cookie-cutter" approach to therapy. I have nearly 20 years of experience working with cancer patients and their families. I'm a graduate of the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis' Modern Perspectives on Psychotherapy program, which is a 3-year certificate program in Psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I am certified in oncology and palliative care social work.
I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and have considerable experience working with clients from a diverse array of cultures.
