I work with high-achieving professional couples who are cohabitating, engaged, or in the early years of marriage. Many are successful and highly capable at work, yet find themselves stuck in a cycle where one partner becomes the “relational project manager,” carrying the emotional and logistical load, while the other becomes the “relational stakeholder,” invested, but less involved in managing day-to-day needs. Over time, they can feel more like high-functioning roommates than romantic partners. I help couples step out of this cycle, reconnect emotionally, and build a relationship that feels like a partnership again.

I work with couples to slow the conflict cycle and understand what is happening beneath the arguments. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help partners identify patterns of pursuit, withdrawal, criticism, and defensiveness while creating space for vulnerable emotions and needs. The goal is to move from management and reactivity toward genuine connection.

Having transitioned from a career in professional consulting to couples therapy, I understand firsthand how the skills that help us succeed at work can sometimes create distance at home.
