About
As a 14-year blogger for PsychToday, as of Feb. '23 I've written over 550 posts--see http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/evolution-the-self--which have received over 51 million views. My specialties are suggested by the topics I've written on: from anger & self-image deficits, to stress & problematic relationships. I've also published a book on psychotherapy, and in 40 years have amassed over 40,000 hours of hands-on therapy experience. While I'm now retired from my clinical psychology practice, I'm still available for a single consultation, or a series of same.
My goal is to help those who consult with me find practical answers to problems that may have stymied them. Typically, to meet your objectives, you'll need try out my recommendations and experiment with behaviors avoided till now because they made you feel anxious, angry, or overwhelmed. Or maybe because an outdated, self-protective defense wouldn't let you.
My highly targeted approach focuses on helping people build greater skills in effectively dealing with challenges, whether with themselves or others.
