It is easy to feel lost, anxious, and on the outside of life- especially when you are dealing with trauma, chronic health problems, or neurodiversity. Both my personal and professional experience has helped me to understand how frequently these conditions are linked and can help you learn the skills to process your emotions while living in these turbulent times. By curating an individualized safe space and utilizing an eclectic approach, I will help you manage the anxiety that comes with living with these intersectional conditions. We will work together to help you learn to work with your specific needs.
I utilize an integrated approach to mental health including CBT, narrative therapy, EMDR, IFS, and person centered approaches that is tailored to your needs. I teach skills to help you function better in all areas of your life including executive function and pain management. We may even get creative and utilize some expressive art techniques.
I am a disability advocate and you will often find me assisting owner-trainer service dog teams in reaching their independence in my community. My personal service dogs may on occasion photo bomb our sessions with their cuteness and sass. When in person, they enjoy doubling as therapy dogs. This is a safe gathering place to be neurodivergent amongst supportive peers. Client's have the chance to share experiences, work on social skills, discuss the many aspects of the neurodiverse life including physical health concerns, political environment, LGBTQ+, and other topics related to neurodivergence.
