I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in athlete mental health and wellness, sports performance, and transition. My experience comes from individual and group therapy in community mental health agencies, school settings and crisis facilities. I have worked with teens and adults with a variety of presenting issues, including stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, life transitions, career changes and depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I utilize many therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My goal is to provide a safe therapeutic space for clients to push through their barriers, heal and grow as a person. My ideal client is willing and motivated to do the work necessary for overcoming obstacles and personal growth.
I have a laid-back personality and have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate with the ability to establish rapport with clients rather quickly. I approach the therapeutic relationship by meeting the clients where they are, identifying their strengths and help them recognize growth areas to build upon, overcoming obstacles.
