My main focus is to help clients identify and build on their personal strengths so they can overcome the obstacles preventing them from realizing their full potential. My first priority when I meet with a client is to collaboratively establish therapy goals and determine what they would like to attain from the counseling process. Based on this information I personalize each session to help my clients achieve their goals. With every interaction, my goal is always the same: that you leave my office feeling that you were heard and validated.
I tailor a variety of counseling approaches to meet the needs of each client, but primarily implement cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapy. When working with children and adolescents, I also implement family systems therapy as I believe parent involvement is critical to the therapeutic process.
I have enjoyed working with a broad range of clients in my years as a therapist - from providing intensive individual counseling to clients with trauma, mental illness, and addiction issues to supporting children in Grades K-8 with their day to day struggles and concerns as the School Counselor.
