I'm Leidy, a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist working with adults navigating major life transitions, grief and loss, fertility journeys, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and family shifts. Many of the people I work with are in the middle of something big, a loss, a change in their family, or simply a season of life that feels heavier than expected, and they're looking for a space where they can finally exhale. I'm originally from the Dominican Republic, an immigrant, and the proud parent of a son with autism, so I know firsthand what it means to find strength you didn't know you had.
My goal is to offer a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your story. Together, we'll identify your concerns, explore patterns that aren't serving you, and build skills that make life feel more manageable. I draw from CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, and weave in mindfulness and somatic practices because healing lives in the body too.
Our first session is really about getting to know you, what brought you in, what's weighing on you, and what you're hoping to change. I'll ask about your story, your culture, and your goals, with no pressure to have it all figured out. Therapy works best with trust and connection, so take your time. I'm here to walk alongside you and help you find your way.
