As your counselor, my goal is to help you uncover repressed, misplaced potential to lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life today. By applying complementary therapeutic approaches, we will unearth long-standing negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
My approach to therapy is founded in Jungian and Humanistic theory and training. I believe relationship is paramount to effective transformation. Therefore, I create a therapeutic relationship that is balanced with empathy and compassion as well as confrontation and humor when needed to encourage the work to be done.
I work with a variety of symptoms however, I specialize in working with clients whose present issues stem from family of origin dysfunction. My objective with clients is to recover the repressed inner child who holds the available peace and strength that feels missing in the present experience.
