I am currently licensed in K-12 school counseling and working towards Professional Counselor Licensure.
Most of my 30+ year career has been spent working with children and families through school-based programs. My work is focused on what young people are trying to achieve/resolve through behavior while helping them strengthen an understanding of themselves, their emotions, and their relationship to/with the world around them. I use a variety of techniques and take a collaborative, person-centered approach to assist and support children in authoring their own lives.
Some of my clinical interests include working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, and trauma. I teach tools and skills and collaboratively develops treatment plans to meet a client’s unique needs, experiences, and challenges.
I help children navigate/cope with challenges in their life so that they can reach their fullest potential. The client is the true “expert” in their own life; I am simply a guide/mentor/coach along the way. I value meeting children and families where they are, and I'm dedicated to creating a non-judgmental, warm, and supportive environment in therapy.
