I help neurodivergent/2e/ADHD & LGBTQ+ kids (ages 10-20) who’ve had it with school, feel excluded, and have meltdowns or shut down when you try to talk to them. Your child can manage anxiety, improve mood & learn to handle big emotions, so they can focus on "regular stuff" - finding "their people," hobbies & extracurriculars, school & increased independence. As a parent, time with your kid won't be constant crisis management, and your child’s improved confidence & ability to cope with frustration will mean sticking with difficult tasks, less chaos at home before school and in the evenings, and expressing needs instead of acting out.
If your child is showing interest in gender and sexuality or working through what it means to be neurodivergent, they'll be safe to share thoughts & feelings without feeling judged. Art therapy is great for kids who need more than 'just talk' to explore their identity & take pride in their differences. so they find 'their people' and thrive as themselves.
As a neurodivergent queer feminist art therapist, I'll help your child figure out who they are and more effectively deal with what's weighing them down emotionally. I'm eager to learn about them and their therapy needs. Please call or message, or check my website to self-schedule your first session or a free 15-min consult.
