I have over 25-years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children within agencies and the community environment. I find it a pleasure to serve families or individuals who are challenged with life stress, grief issues, abandonment, adjustment disorders, depression, and mental health needs etc. Therefore, I strive for quality service to ensure positive results. However, it is important for me to reflect, listen, and communicate to make sure that I have a clear understanding of my client’s needs.

I have 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents in multiple domains. Some domains would include schools, homes, summer camps, after school programs, childcares, churches, and group homes. My passion is working with children and their families to reconnect and build healthy interpersonal relationships. Although my passion is working with children and adolescents, I also enjoy working with single adults, as well as couples. My motto is “It takes a village” and working together as a team to achieve reasonable and practical goals will build a healthier and stronger you/family.

Change is possible, and our lives can differ from what we currently live. Most of us don’t have the knowledge or tools to make those changes. That is where counseling can help. As a therapist, I can assist you with understanding and processing why and how you think. Knowledge is power. Once you have that knowledge, you can implement changes in your life. Therapy allows you to create your toolbox filled with coping mechanisms, stress-relieving techniques, and reframing tools that you can rely on throughout your life to get you through difficult times and situations.

I have had a long career working with families and individuals who are struggling with stressors in their life. Many times these are due to an adolescent or teenager who is having difficulty in the home or in school due ADHD, autism, anxiety, or anger management or a significant life event such as divorce, loss of job or death in the family.

I strive to create an environment to support children and adults, to improve their lives by having more enjoyable relationships. I like to provide my patients the required tools to succeed in life. I have loved to serve the community and use my natural ability to empathize. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in May 2015. Since my graduation, I have been performing psychological evaluations and therapy for patients of all ages, gathering a broad base of experience.

Brandon has a Masters degree in Professional Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia.

The mission of Serenity Cove Pediatrics (SCP) is to provide integrated holistic mental and behavioral health care for children and families while valuing safety and inclusivity. During my fifteen plus years of pediatric practice, I received specialized mental and behavioral health training to care for children and families with trauma. This includes special experience with children/teens with a history of trauma, foster children, adoptive children, pediatric refugees, kinship care, and high risk vulnerable children. ​ Currently, providing Telehealth assistance with specialized pediatric focused medication management in NY and VA.

Since youth, I wondered about human behavior and why people do what they do. To explore this interest further I took a class in comparative behavior and loved it. Since then I looked for opportunities to learn more about people, their actions, and their feelings while trying to find ways to help them improve their lives and feel better. I used this advanced therapy process in California at the Anne Sippi Clinics in the service of those suffering severe adult psychopathology (mental health issues) early on in his career.

My passion involves helping individuals relieve emotional and mental distress on multiple levels by incorporating tools such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
