I'm a trauma trained Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people live happier and healthier lives. As a mother of three young and very active children and counselor of 14 years, I appreciate the demands and stressors life can bring, as well as the toll it can take on mental health. My journey as a counselor has brought me a range of experience working with trauma victims in a clinical setting as well as working with children, teens, and families in the school setting. I typically utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, but pull from other approaches to best meet my clients' needs.

I work with clients who are dealing with a wide range of concerns including Grief, Crisis Intervention, Trauma & Serious Illness, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety/Panic, Schizophrenia, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, family of origin concerns & exploration, & many other psychological & behavioral challenges.

Since 1999, I've predominantly worked with children from ages 4 through 19 and parents. Kids, teens and families are engulfed with various problems and often find themselves struggling to keep "it altogether". These problems affect children, teens & parent's emotions and behaviors. Young people often don't understand their feelings, know how to express them appropriately or feel as if no one is listening. It's not long before arguments, disrespect, low-grades, disobedience, and fights occur, which negatively impacts all involved. Talking to a neutral person helps overcome these obstacles, learn how to cope & grow through life.
