I have conducted individual and group sessions. My work thus far has been with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I use a variety of therapy approaches, such a as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) or Person Centered Therapy (PCT), in order to keep the process of therapy focused on the client and what works best with them. I welcome working with anyone interested in the therapy process regardless of their issues or goals. There are many options for coping skills such as from EMDR (emdria certified); Gestalt, Existential, DBT, CBT and Mindfulness. Past/ current clients have worked through generational trauma, disordered eating, sexual assault, family and/ or marital concerns, trauma, depression and anxiety, attention deficit, career and direction of life concerns. It is common to struggle with the first step of reaching out to a provider.. typically people feel relief once they start talking to and then selecting a provider.

Opening yourself up to someone takes a lot of courage. Just beginning this step, looking for a therapist, shows that courage, whether it's for yourself or a family member. I have worked extensively with children (4+) teenagers, and families over the past 10 years in different mediums. I begin by helping my client to feel safe and and encouraged. Occasionally life challenges meet us at a particularly vulnerable time and I work with people who have adjustment to such life changes, people who find they are severely co-dependent on others with addiction dependency, the alcoholic and drug dependent dependent person. In addition I've assisted those experiencing grief, including the grief of the job loss. I'm a school psychologist familiar with children with learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, developmental delays and I have often work through and with their parents. My clients often have challenges such as anxiety, depression, and grief.
