Choosing to begin psychotherapy opens yourself to the experience of self-discovery, reflection, and growth. But truly, beginning psychotherapy reflects an inner desire and commitment to enhance the parts of yourself and your life which are working well, and to explore, and ultimately make changes in the parts you would like to be different.
My approach is centered in the belief that with genuine witnessing, and engagement based in sensitive and positive regard, we all have the capability to examine and modify aspects of our lives and ourselves that we want to be different. Courage, Strength, and Resilience are in all of us.
Creative and expressive arts, visualization and imagery work, dream interpretation, and somatic explorations are incorporated organically into sessions. I also work extensively with children and individuals with Developmental Delays and Learning Differences, both in-home and/or in-office depending on the needs and capacity of the Developmentally Disabled.
