About
I believe that resilience grows in the context of relationships, and that collaboration and a strong therapeutic relationship are the keys to enacting change. Psychotherapy is about developing curiosity and building insight into patterns that bring about challenges in day to day life. Through a psychodynamic and developmental lens, I consider how early life experiences, family, and culture, shape identity and the ways we relate to others. I tailor each person's treatment to their individual needs by collaboratively setting goals, identifying strengths, and integrating evidence-based approaches from CBT and DBT.
I have developed speciality in treating parent-infant dyads, children, and adolescents with a range of presenting concerns, including: emotion regulation challenges, issues with attachment, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and relationship issues, life transitions, family conflict, and parenting challenges.
Every challenge also presents a new life juncture. I hope to provide an inclusive, non-judgemental, and empathic environment where I can guide you to approach these new life junctures with self-compassion and hope. For more information please visit my website: drlurye.com and weisspsychology.com
