With a kind heart and open mind, I strive to make therapy a comfortable place where you can explore your concerns with compassion and empathy. My role is to listen and acknowledge your choices, and offer to assist you in developing real options to better support living a healthier and happier life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in Mental Health and Substance Use treatment, Medical Social Work, In-Home Assessments, Geriatrics, and Restorative Justice and Rehabilitation in Criminal Justice settings. I have additional certifications for Medical Social Work.
I offer a strength-based focus utilizing a range of modalities, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, narrative, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. I have had extensive supplemental training and experience in treatments for addictions, anxiety, and trauma-related conditions.
I have a commitment to recovery principles and understand the steps necessary to promote success for individuals, families, and communities. What this really all means is that I have sought out opportunities to learn about the many types of human experiences and seek to apply that clinical knowledge in a supportive way to assist others.
