In recent times life can seem overwhelming. I can help you to make your life feel more manageable. I aim to be gentle and caring with my clients. I don't want to push anyone more than they are ready for. I will, however, help you to challenge thought patterns and beliefs that might be holding you back. I am an LICSW offering affirming, nurturing therapy to adults and adolescents. Many of my clients are young women managing relationship issues, work, and/or parenting; and members of the LGBTQIA? community.
I work with people to gain control over their anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and other issues. I integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy into my practice. I enjoy aiding people in identifying their challenges and creating a plan to overcome those obstacles.
I have overcome many of my own struggles in life and I understand the importance of having someone to guide you on that path. I do this work because I feel the need to use my experiences to help others. It is important to me that I feel my work is positively affecting lives and that I am working to further social justice in our communities.
