I utilize my 17 years of counseling experience working with diverse populations from school age to adult to help clients understand themselves better and make meaningful changes. My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, ADHD/ASD, and life, school and career related transitions. Previously, I counseled college students in the university setting. I enjoy working with young adults as that is an immense time of transition, new beginnings and many times added stressors. This is a season of life where students can learn a lot about themselves and build healthy habits and positive coping skills for a lifetime.
I am a licensed school counselor and licensed mental health counselor. I have a relaxed, warm, interactive and empathetic approach. In all my work I use evidence based interventions, including EMDR, and have a holistic perspective. Other specialities include understanding dysfunctional family dynamics including substance abuse or untreated mental illness.
