I specialize in treating all types of eating disorders and trauma. Are you struggling with depression, anxiety or early childhood trauma? We know that trauma lives in our bodies and affects the way we operate in the world. Therapy is a collaborative journey. We will work together to change the things that are not serving you. I include mindfulness meditation as a tool that can help you be present to your life! If we don't pay attention, we'll miss the moment. I also incorporate EMDR (eye-movement desensitization reprocessing) a protocol for working with trauma to help you move through early childhood experiences.
My specialty, eating disorders, includes anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating, and disordered eating. My own struggle with anorexia as an adolescent and young adult gives me great compassion and understanding for working with anyone struggling with an eating disorder. I incorporate mindfulness and EMDR ( a way to treat all types of trauma).
I incorporate mindfulness meditation as an integral tool for working with any challenge. By learning to stay present it is possible to learn how to be less reactive to impulses/feelings that arise. You can accept where you are without judgment and become more self-compassionate. My work includes mind, body, spirit.
