Hi! I'm Layne! I am so happy you are here. The hardest part about seeking mental health help is getting started and I'm so glad that you've decided to take this first step. I have been a full time therapist at community mental health center for children and families for the past 5 years. I hope to provide a comfortable and affirming environment for my clients to grow and learn about themselves. I like to provide an integrative approach when it comes to therapy. Meaning, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to help you reach your goals. I try and individualize the approach to the client's needs.
I specialize in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR to address a range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma-related symptoms. I also have a special interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community as well as teenagers and emerging adults.
I hope to help my clients find new ways to look at the challenges they face. I emphasize a positive mindset while also understanding and validating negative thought patterns. My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgmental. I believe in the importance of building a trusting therapeutic alliance, ensuring you feel supported.
