As a clinical social worker, I support adults in identifying their strengths & resilience, while working toward regaining a sense of control in their lives. Healing happens in relationship, & I strive to create a safe, open, & collaborative space where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences & improving their overall quality of life.
My approach is grounded in humanistic, anti-oppressive, perspectives. I aim to decolonize therapy by honoring each individual’s unique & complex background, making space for the full context of their lived experiences, & recognizing these experiences as sources of wisdom & resilience.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I integrate DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care into my practice. When addressing complex trauma, I also incorporate somatic therapy and parts work alongside EMDR to support deeper healing.
I also have experience supporting individuals who wish to incorporate spirituality or religious practices into therapy as meaningful coping tools and sources of strength.
