I have been a licensed psychotherapist and marriage counselor for over 30 years. Conflicts can seem insurmountable. This is especially so when we lack insight into not only ourselves and our own childhood wounds, but also the developmental origins of our partner's behavior. My therapeutic work is based in the idea that quality of life is largely contingent upon a feeling of connectedness to others. Through thoughtful and compassionate understandings/insights, my goal is to help couples let go of resentments - the obstacles to intimacy - and develop deeper, safer bonds, and a more realistic appreciation of their valued partnerships.
I help couples understand the deeper meanings residing in their respective maladaptive behaviors. Couples are then less likely to personalize their partner's inner struggles and can begin relating in a compassionate manner as opposed to anger/rage. Our approach to helping couples will invigorate a new "spirit of partnership".
Our practice is located in the picturesque countryside town of New Wilmington, PA. Our offices are conveniently located in the beautiful and historic Durrast House - a traditionally decorated, warm, private and safe place to grow your marriage.
