When counseling individuals, it is my intent to provide a safe space to explore and work through any areas of your life in which you desire to change and/or improve. It is of great importance to me that the client/therapist relationship is established upon openness, candid, with active communication on behalf of both the client and the therapist. My counseling approach is designed to help reform, refocus, and redirect life through a genuine therapeutic alliance, as my methodology is nonjudgmental and sincere.
While I have received training in various areas of counseling, I focus in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma such as sexual abuse, grief and loss, and low self-esteem. Using "The Modest Model", a 7-step process, I help individuals achieve their desired counseling goals.
My theoretical approach to counseling is under the premise that humans were all created in the image of God, and therefore we are all created to reflect greatness. However, life gives experiences that might not be so great, and therefore requires the assistance of a professional counselor to get back on track to living out God’s great purpose and plan.
