Often times , despite one’s accomplishments and successes one can still feel weighed down by a negative view of themselves, feel incompetent and like an imposter. Where does this negative view come from and why can’t we feel better about ourselves? Exploring where it comes from and understanding how we internalized others negative feelings about themselves and or others projecting their own negative feelings about themselves onto us can put these feelings into perspective and allow for the space to see ourselves realistically.

Sometimes we feel positively about our partners, feel content and satisfied in the relationship . But at other times we can feel disconnected, frustrated and misunderstood. Couples can get stuck in negative patterns of relating and not know how to shift back to feeling connected.

It is important that people feel understood, validated and heard . Individual and or couples therapy can be places where you work on feeling better about yourselves and help you and your partner to understand the negative dynamics you fall into and how to get back to relating in an empathic, fun and caring way.
