About
Our behaviors are a direct result of the thoughts we have about our feelings. When we don't understand those feelings, our behaviors might not make sense to us. 17 years of working with adolescents in an educational setting gives me a unique perspective when it comes to therapy. I love working with families and adults alike to help them feel better about themselves and create lasting connections. Connection and relationships are what make humans unique and beautiful. Struggles with relationships are often an indication of struggles within oneself. Counseling is an opportunity to work on oneself, heal, so thriving is possible.
Combining both old & new techniques and theories, we will explore what is "wrong", while focusing what is "right", looking for causes, not just looking at the symptoms. I also offer faith-based Christian counseling by incorporating the Bible into the counseling session, if requested.
Engaging in counseling is difficult for many people to do. Engaging in counseling for an addiction can be even more difficult. I understand the amount of trust it takes to take these first steps, and I couldn't be more supportive of you doing so! The first step is always the hardest because it's showing up for yourself and realizing you deserve more.
