My treatment approach is to help you be on your way to feeling better in the shortest time possible. My clients frequently comment on how much they appreciate my balance of providing genuine empathy while also giving honest feedback when it seems like it can be helpful. I care deeply about my work, and I adapt my expertise to make therapy a rewarding, yet unique experience for all of my clients.
My practice specialties include the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, adolescent counseling, and treatment for adult survivors of sexual abuse. I utilize EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, and relational approaches.
My training includes a Masters degree in social work from New York University and post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. I also completed Fordham University's certificate program on the assessment and treatment of interpersonal trauma. I am certified in EMDR and am currently training to become a Somatic Experiencing practitioner.
