About
I think of therapy as a creative and collaborative process that allows for a deeper, more integrated sense of oneself to emerge over time. I work with clients to help them better understand and navigate their experiences so that they can feel more authentic and aligned as they move through the world. I see myself as a helper and guide as clients build understanding of how to release old patterns and experience new things.
Societal and cultural pressures affect each of us differently. I practice in a way that acknowledges the impact of systemic oppression and intergenerational trauma on individuals and communities. I know that when you walk into the room, you bring with you experiences I have never had. I believe that you are the expert on your own lived experiences.
I tend to be pretty active in sessions, and work a lot in the “here and now,” recognizing that whatever happens outside of therapy might eventually show up inside of therapy, too. This allows for new ways of experiencing and working through emotional terrain in a context that is built for experimentation, collaboration, and self-discovery.
