I view counseling as a unique opportunity to have a safe and compassionate space to process and find support through life's many challenges. As a LPC, I seek to provide quality therapy through a trusting relationship with my clients. I especially enjoy working with young adults, young moms, and those experiencing grief as these populations are navigating significant life transitions. I believe that with adequate support, these transitions can be navigated with grace and confidence. I am also passionate about counseling from a Christian perspective if the client wishes for that to be incorporated.
I apply various counseling strategies including person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused to join clients on their journey of growing and healing. I seek to meet clients where they are and provide support based off of their individual personality, preferences, and current circumstances.
I believe the art of counseling is not about "fixing" people; rather, it is about teaching methods to replace negative schemas with positive ones, encouraging people through hardships, and discussing skills they can apply to their disorder or anything they face in life.
