I love helping kids + teens who feel stuck. Stuck with spiraling anxiety, worry, and fear. Stuck with negative self talk and low self-esteem. Stuck with pain and memories from a traumatic experience. I believe that kids/teens deserve therapy that is as effective as therapy is for adults! I am a Registered Play Therapist and have specialized training in understanding their unique needs. I specialize in treating anxiety and trauma and also have experience in providing counseling for grief/loss, attachment concerns, and emotional regulation challenges. I provide compassionate care combined with tools for change!
In play therapy, kids feel empowered to explore their feelings, behaviors, & challenges in ways that are naturally engaging + developmentally appropriate. For older kids/teens I offer creative ways to do therapy through sandtray, expressive arts activities, & talk therapy. I have training in many evidence based treatments (EMDR therapy, CBT, ACT, and more!)
I also enjoy and have experience working with adults who are experiencing anxiety and/or pain from past or present trauma. My approach is relationally focused + neuroscience informed. I am an EMDR trained therapist - EMDR is an evidenced based trauma therapy that accesses the root of your current symptoms and helps you find an even deeper peace and healing
